The Mosaic and The Wanderer.Yes this whole has been beaten down, broken now in decrepitude.
Scattered, thrown here or there by wanders kicking loose pebbles.
A stranger strolls and sees a stone to keep for his own collection.
He didn't hear the rubble cry as another part of them is stolen.
 
That was the day the sky turn gray with a storm of unknown magnitude.
Flooding rain washed what pieces remained into a shallow puddle.
In sediment they settled, put back together by this muddy concoction.
As the day exsiccates a mosaic is made and a soul has been awakened.
A woman rises from the sand to search for a man, and the part of her he's taken.
 
He loves to stroll and walk alone, his thought always so bestrewed.
Wander, meander where time doesn't matter. He's tired of a constant dribble.
Remembering the trinket he reaches in his pocket, and is startled with a pulsing motion.

Star-kissed SpineShe has this air about her
that I don't quite understand.
It's as if her spine is the night sky,
caressing the heavenly bodies
of the planets on her skin.
Ivory skin,
like that of a porcelain doll.
She is fishnet and lace,
black and white,
and all the in-betweens.

Snapshots of usthe grass doesn’t grow here;

Living a Dream P21The Doctor looked at Fenn, shocked, "How did you know that?"

Fenn rolled her eyes, "The show, Doctor."

He looked at her almost imploringly, "Fenn, you seem to know my life inside out, but I don't even know what century you were born in. How can I trust you?"

Fenn looked at him, as if judging him worthy of her darkest secret. She nodded, "I suppose you deserve an explanation. Can we discuss this somewhere private?"

"The TARDIS?"

Fenn nodded, "Rather than out here... where exactly is here?"

"Torchwood," the Doctor answered, "The storage levels; all nine of them."

Fenn grinned, "My legs certainly know it."

They walked back over to the TA
Old Eyes, Old HeartsThe little girl followed the man as he walked through the silent library's children's section, watching him with interest. He seemed irrational, mad. He was talking to himself, waving a green light around, tapping walls. But she didn't mind. He seemed friendly enough. And it was dark in the library- the monsters live in the dark.

She could feel them peering at her from around corners, behind the countless rows of books on either side, watching her. The sun was setting early, for it was winter, and it was getting very dark. The first thing that registered was her headache. It felt like a porcupine had decided to play water polo in her brain fluid. She shut her eyes again, but that didn't help, so she decided to at least try to figure out where she was.

The second thing she registered was a ceiling. It wasn't particularly interesting, as far as ceilings go. It was concrete, smooth, and unpainted, like something underground. The thought occurred to her that she was in a bunker. But the complete absence of the sound of people in the room seemed to contradict that theory. Scratch that.

There was an electric crackle of static in the air as the artron energy flowed from the TARDIS and back again. Gwen was surprise at how still Fenn was- she didn't convulse or twitch in the way that people do when they're being shocked by a normal defibrillator. If it weren't for her blood stained shirt and the blue, crackling energy enveloping her, Gwen would have said she was sleeping.

The Doctor and Owen held the paddles in place for three minutes, letting the energy pass through. The Doctor caught Owen's eye and cried, "And... off!" They lifted the paddles,
Living a Dream P18Owen was busy in the medical bay when the Doctor arrived. Fenn was hooked up to an innumerable amount of wires and tubes, and Owen was looking downright flustered. The Doctor stepped forward, "How is she doing?"

Owen looked up at him, "Very well, considering the circumstances. By that I mean she's not dead yet."

Jack joined the conversation, "Is it the Huon energy?"

Owen nodded, looking worried. There was silence for a minute or two while Owen worked. The Doctor was desperately trying to think of something he could do. He started muttering under his breath... "Huon energy, huon energy, how to stabilise it? C'mon, think, think..." Suddenly
